The project partner Athens Film Office hosted a successful edition of The Owl Screenwriting Workshop and Industry Days in Athens on October 3rd and 4th, 2024. The event attracted a diverse range of professionals from the audiovisual industry, creating a dynamic environment for networking and collaboration.

Spotlight on the SCENE EU Project by Mr. Stathis Kalogeropoulos

At the conclusion of the workshop, Mr. Stathis Kalogeropoulos, Film Officer of the Athens Film Office, delivered a presentation highlighting the SCENE EU Project. He emphasised the project’s significant role in fostering collaboration within the European audiovisual sector, helping creative professionals connect and seize new opportunities across borders. His presentation underscored how SCENE aims to enhance both the cultural and economic outputs of the European audiovisual market, further solidifying the project’s importance in the industry.

Focus on end-user insights and industry feedback

Mr. Kalogeropoulos also stressed the critical role of gathering feedback from industry professionals. He encouraged attendees to share their perspectives by completing a questionnaire designed to capture end-user insights, available via QR codes displayed during the event. This feedback is crucial for shaping future SCENE strategies and tools, ensuring that the project aligns with the needs and challenges faced by the industry.

The event attracted important industry stakeholders, including representatives from production companies, government officials, and international film experts. Those included representatives from the Hellenic Film & Audiovisual Center, Creative Greece, Boat Rocker, True North, COSMOTE TV, Film in Cyprus, Tanweer, and Argonauts.
